Pictured below is Dave and Tammy's beautiful 22 lb Mickey Blue Eyes aka Midder who found us (yep a stray) and is a proud patient of WeSnip.org (yep he's fixed)

You would think we would love to recreate this guy with offspring, but there are many many beautiful cats being born into abuse, disease and ultimately death.

With your help, we can stop overpopulation!

"Spaying or neutering your pet provides many practical benefits as well as preventing animal overpopulation: your pet is more content and far less likely to roam, bite, scratch, fight, mark territory or develop uterine, mammary or testicular cancer." -PetRescue.com

Spring greetings to WeSNIP supporters!  We have very happy news!

We recently received 2011 statistics from our friends at the Whatcom
Humane Society - and they are encouraging!  The statistics highlighted below are between 2008 (the year WeSNIP started) and the end of 2011.  They are proof that a combination of Free and Low Cost spay neuter services for focused areas and populations, transport services when needed, education outreach to specific clientele and schools, and collaboration with rescue groups and animal control are beginning to make a difference.  WeSNIP is now
putting more emphasis on feral (unsocialized) cats-which by definition are a product of cat overpopulation, plus expanding education and developing a transport to certain areas of the county.

Your continued support, in this difficult economy, is the reason

we are still here.

The "Birch Bay Music Festival" was created  2011 to serve local non-profit animal related organizations.

Bay Cafe @ Birch Bay and their friends and neighbors The C Shop joined together to hold the First Annual "Birch Bay Music Festival" Presents: Snip Fest on August 6, 2011.  Our beneficiary was Whatcom Counties Spay and Neuter program WeSnip.org.

The event boasted 9 bands and Singer Songwriters as well as 26 diverse and creative vendors, along with an informative and entertaining K9 exhibition by the United States Border Patrol Agent Darryl Curtis and Canine Rocky.  There was lots of fun, sun, food a
nd love!

The day was celebrated with hundreds of  caring animal lovers to help us raise funds for WeSnip!
It was reported that there was a 45 minute line up just to get into Birch Bay, what an amazing turn out!

Please join us on Saturday, August 4, 2012 for our 2nd Annual "Snip Fest" event.  It will be bigger, better and more funds will be raised to support WeSnip.org
